The Coalition for the Homeless leads in the development, advocacy, and coordination of community strategies to prevent and end homelessness. We serve as lead agency to The Way Home, our local homeless response system, to bridge the gaps for direct service providers. We do this by providing training and education, research, project management, and advocacy, allowing The Way Home to serve the greatest number of homeless individuals and families with the highest quality services.
Since 2011, homelessness has decreased by more than 54% and since 2012, the Houston region has housed more than 17,000 homeless individuals. The ultimate goal of the Coalition and our partners is to create and sustain a community where homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring. Donate today and help us make that goal a reality.
